Today I shall discuss with you all about SEO, so that you can hold cash in to your pocket.. In my last post I discussed with you that how writing articles can bring traffic to your website. Reader who read you article on article site may click your link to see what your site is all about and secondly as these articles are downloadable, people may download articles for their sites, giving back link to your site. Yes these backlinks are very important, in order to make easy money online.

The well known search engine Google.com , it shares about 65% of interenet search queries in the world, 20% goes in account of yahoo.com, and 10% in account of MSN.com and rest to others. You have to win all these search engines, MSN.com is relatively easy, Yahoo.com slight difficult than MSN and Google is a challange. If you get your site or blog listed on one page of MSN you can expect a few hits daily. It depends on your keywords also, if your key word is "free download music" , you can become rich. and if your keyword is "paintings of 16th century" then you will have to find another career. If you got number on Yahoo, you may accept few hundreds of hit. If you get on number one page on Google and you have popular keyword like "music" then you can hope for thousands hits daily. Getting listed on number one page on these three search engines matters a lot, and all these play very important role in making easy money online.

Ok you know all that but what all that has to do with backlinks ? Ten years back it was not as difficult, suppose you pick a key wod "make money online" and fill out pages after pages about making money online and big thre engines will peruse your work and index you based on how much money making gibberish you hand and how relevant it was to someones query. If some one typed " I want to make a lot lot money without working on internet". Google would return the sites in its index based on which sited used the terms 'a lot lot' or 'money' or 'without working' as long as those sites had those terms in its Meta Tags.

Meta Tags are beleived to be irrelavant these days anyways.Webmasters took advantage of this technique for becoming rich and stuffed as many keywords as they could in to their meta tagas, in order to get Googles attentions and in result got high ranking for websites that had tons of relevant Meta Tag terms but not so much relevant content for the helpless user. In fact a website that explained how to make ice-cream could have ranked hight for the search term 'make money online' as long as they stuffed lots of make money references in to their Meta tags. Google was not pleased with these results ad they wanted a reputation for returning the most relevant site for any and all search queries used.

Google decided that it would rank a pages based on number of links received from other pages or sites on internet. If you had a site and 500 other sites liked your content that much that they decided to put a link to your sites to direct their visitors to your site, then your site will be counted as have 500 back links. Suppose your site is about garden. and there are 1 million othersites for the same subject but no other site has 500 back links then there are very much chances that your site would be listed on no. one page.

Another problem appeared, those who were engaged in keyword stuffing, now concentrating their efforts in orders to get backlinks. They started paying money to other site owners for placing a link on their sites. In search engine result those sites started showing up that has 1000's of backlinks, those backlinks had no connection to subject matter.
Google was not happy with this either. Therefore it decided to rank those pages higher which has higher numbers of relevant backlinks, not only this if a site is found links with black hat techniques then it could lose its ranking positon. This time again spammers found solutions to this they created hundreds of blogs and websites and place thousand of related key words with the help of automated softwares and linked those sites to their main site.

To solve this problem google has recently changed their ranking formula once again. To rank well you must have lots of relevant backlinks that come from sites with high page ranks.
Page Rank
Page Rank is system of rating pages, it shows how important a page is. A Page Rank (PR) of 0 means it is totally unimportant in google views. Getting few backlinks from PR0 would not help you much. Getting thansand links from PR 0 might get you PR 1 or 2. On the other hand if you had a few backlinks all from PR 5 , PR 6, PR 7
or so then you might get a PR 4. If you have backlink from government site. ie .gov or .edu then it is very improtant. then your page may get a high rank.
